I wrote these studies to cover basic harp techniques, but in a melodic way, to make them more enjoyable. Harp teachers and students love these studies. They are even used by performers. Due to many requests, they are also available in this lap harp version. Keep in mind that the lap harp book has not been recorded. If you order the CD or mp3s, you will receive the “regular” version. However, you can still hear how the piece goes, so you will still find them useful.
In the drop-down menu, you can choose from book, eBook, CD, mp3 download and book/CD combo. The eBook is also available on Sheet Music Plus.
If you need just a few of the mp3s (and do not want to purchase the entire download), the single mp3s are available on Sheet Music Plus. Just put a title and my name in the search box and you will find them.

“Your melodic studies are absolutely beautiful. Every piece has something new to improve our harping skills. In learning to play the harp (with no prior music training) I just couldn’t seem to grasp the timing. After printing off a couple of the melodic studies, I ordered all of them. Within one week, the timing came to me. Looking forward to your new melodic studies CD.” Marilou S
“Just have to write and let you know how great your melodic studies are! Very focused and very lovely to play – and a great antidote to burn-out on (other exercises). Besides, they can string together quite nicely in different combinations for a bit of new age warm-up at the beginning of a gig. I look forward to using them with my students.” MJ
“Dear Cindy, just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying reading through your melodic studies. They are a pleasure to sight-read and I know they’ll be going to lots of weddings in the future. Easy on the ears, nice under the fingers. What more could a harpist want?” Mary Jane, FL
