“WinterScape (For Holiday Harping)” is 41 pages of fun, beautiful, playable arrangements for lever harp (pedal harps can play too, but the solos do not have pedal markings in them). You need to have F5, the F string that is 1.5 octaves below Middle C. You will need C,F,B and G levers. Since most floor harps have full levers, this should not be a problem. There is no levering to do after you have set your levers for a piece, so you can just enjoy playing.
The content is “The Twelve Days of Christmas” (five pages of really good fun), “Away In The Manger,” “Carol Of The Bells,” (yes…beautiful, with the appropriate accidentals, but no levering within the piece, you will love playing this one), “El Noi de la Mare (The Son of Mary),” music by Miguel Llobet….if you don’t know this, you might recognize the theme when you play it, “Good King Wenceslas,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Here We Come A-Wassailing,” “In Dulci Jubilo” (I did not know I knew this melody until I heard a little recording online, it is lovely), “I Saw Three Ships” (for Mary Jo, who loves this song and wanted it for her holiday gigs this year), “Joy To The World,” “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming,” (a truly beautiful arrangement), “O Little Town of Bethlehem”, “Pat-A-Pan,” (who knew this one could be so much fun to play?), “Sussex Carol,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and “WinterScape.” “WinterScape” is an eight-page extravaganza that is about three-quarters original music, but contains little snippits of seven familiar Christmas songs (none of which are included in this book as individual pieces).
After “Twelve Days” (five pages) and “WinterScape” (eight pages), the remainder of the book consists of two-page solos. This book is perfect for the holiday season. It is available in print and as a download. The recording of this book is a download only (mp3 files).
At the drop-down menu you can choose from book, eBook (Download), CD, mp3 Download and Book/CD combo.
If you happen to have a lap harp or mid-sized harp that has F5 and goes up to the high D, it will work also.
The “WinterScape” arrangements are mid-intermediate level, some a bit easier, some a bit more “notey.”

“WinterScape” is a book of clean, clear arrangements of old favorites as well as lesser known carols. Cindy takes carols beyond the “shopping mall” arrangements and gives them her own touch, sometimes tweaking the melody line to give it a more interesting ring. Another winner from Cindy Kleinstuber Blevins!” Jeannette D, CA
“WinterScape” arrived yesterday and I couldn’t wait to play from it. I love the arrangement of “The Carol of the Bells.” I had given up hope that there would be an arrangement of this beautiful song that I could play. Your amazing use of just 2 lever settings did it! I am looking forward to diving into the other carols. It is a great book and so wonderful to get it with plenty of time of practice before the winter season.” Maryann, NY
